Job Description

Job Title:
Trailer Technician Job Description The Trailer Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, fabricating, and maintaining commercial trailers and trailer components. The role involves performing a variety of mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, brake, suspension, and structural repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Advancement through levels is based on technical knowledge, experience, certifications, and the ability to perform increasingly complex repairs independently. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance inspections on trailers and related equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Repair, replace, or install trailer components including hubcaps, lighting systems, plywood flooring, roof patches, doors, panels, and other trailer hardware. Check and maintain proper tire air pressure and inspect tires for wear or damage. Inspect and maintain fluid levels and lubricate equipment as required. Troubleshoot and repair trailer lighting and electrical wiring systems. Diagnose and repair ABS (Anti-Lock Braking Systems). Perform air brake maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Replace air valves, brake chambers, air lines, and other brake system components. Repair and maintain spring ride and air ride suspension systems. Diagnose and repair axle and wheel-end assemblies. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with commercial trailer repair, heavy equipment, diesel equipment, or automotive maintenance preferred. Knowledge of air brake systems, suspension systems, and trailer components. Experience with electrical diagnostics and wiring repairs. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Why Work Here?   • 1:30am from Monday to Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Zionsville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00
  • $80000.
00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
