Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Trailer Technician/Semi Trailer Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our custumers fleet operating smoothly, minimizing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including semi-trailers. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on trailers . Conduct repairs and maintenance on , air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments and liftgates. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques. Service and repair mechanical systems on trailers. Operate heavy equipment such tractor-trailers to facilitate repairs or move equipment safely. Follow detailed schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Perform tire service, wheel alignments, brake repairs, assembly of components, and general vehicle maintenance to ensure safety compliance. Utilize soldering techniques for electrical repairs and conduct heavy lifting safely with appropriate equipment. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed to ensure compliance with safety standards. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on trailer repair or heavy equipment maintenance in a dealership or industrial setting. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, electrical diagnostics, hydraulic systems, repair. Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical systems troubleshooting. Experience operating forklifts, or similar equipment is highly desirable. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including brake repair, suspension work,sheet metal and tire service. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic instruments effectively.
