In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive and industrial systems, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including farm equipment, heavy trucks, and construction machinery, contributing to the smooth operation of our clients' fleets. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and specialized tools to identify issues accurately. Perform repairs on various vehicle systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and air brake systems. Maintain and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and industrial machinery. Execute fabrication tasks and welding repairs to modify or restore equipment components. Service and repair farm machinery, tractor-trailers, and other large vehicles with attention to detail. Replace worn or damaged parts using hand tools and power tools; ensure proper assembly and alignment. Conduct preventive maintenance routines to maximize vehicle lifespan and operational efficiency. Utilize technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems. Assist in the maintenance of HVAC systems on heavy equipment when applicable. Support customer service efforts by explaining repairs clearly and providing professional advice. Experience Proven dealership experience or equivalent background in automotive repair is highly preferred. Extensive hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge across vehicle systems such as transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, and electrical components. Demonstrated proficiency in automotive diagnostics using schematics and diagnostic tools. Experience working with diesel engines, heavy trucks, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Skilled in welding, fabrication, tire service, and equipment maintenance tasks. Ability to operate power tools safely while performing vehicle or equipment repairs. Knowledge of HVAC systems related to heavy machinery is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively. Physical capability for heavy lifting and performing manual repairs in various environments.
