Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of automotive systems, ensuring our customers' vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will be vital in delivering top-tier automotive service, supporting vehicle performance, and maintaining customer satisfaction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, including light-duty cars and heavy equipment, in a fast-paced environment that values precision and proactive problem-solving. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical systems to restore optimal vehicle performance. Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Repair or replace automotive components including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, auto body parts, and electrical systems with precision. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Interpret technical schematics and service manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues effectively. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles meet quality standards before returning to customers. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including engines, powertrains, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical components. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, auto estimating software, GM vehicles (or similar brands), and heavy equipment mechanics is a plus. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems along with experience in auto body repair or maintenance is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repairs. Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients about their vehicle's needs.
