Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical, suspension, and transmission. Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine repairs, transmission system servicing, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical problems accurately. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently. Service vehicles according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality benchmarks. Assist with auto estimating by accurately assessing repair needs and communicating findings clearly to customers or service advisors. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic procedures for each vehicle serviced. Requirements Proven dealership experience or equivalent service technician experience in automotive repair. Strong knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmissions, vehicle electrical systems, and vehicle suspension systems. Ability to read and interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics with confidence. Experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and diagnostics is highly desirable. Familiarity with diesel engine repair and GM vehicle models is a plus. Skilled in the use of automotive diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients. Valid certification in automotive repair or technician training; ASE certification is preferred but not required.
