Job Summary Join our dynamic automotive team as a Used Car Technician, where your expertise will drive vehicle excellence and customer satisfaction! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of used vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance. Your mechanical skills and automotive knowledge will be vital in delivering top-tier service, helping customers get back on the road confidently. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on used vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics. Repair and maintain engines, including diesel engines, powertrains, and automotive engine systems, ensuring optimal performance. Conduct wheel alignments, brake repairs, suspension work, and steering system diagnostics to enhance vehicle safety and handling. Interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics to troubleshoot automotive electrical systems effectively. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently and safely. Maintain detailed repair records, update vehicle maintenance logs, and ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering advice on vehicle maintenance needs. Qualifications Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and schematics. Experience repairing various vehicle types including standard passenger cars and GM vehicles preferred. Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools and interpreting complex vehicle system data. Ability to perform engine repairs, powertrain work, wheel alignments, and heavy lifting safely. Familiarity with auto body repair techniques and welding is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude to ensure quality service delivery. Pay:
$17.50 - $27.20 per hour
