Flat Rate Position Overview Toyota South is looking for an experienced and motivated Toyota Express Maintenance (TXM) Team Leader to join our service department in Richmond, KY. The TXM Team Leader will work as part of a two-person TXM team , leading by example while performing routine automotive maintenance and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Toyota's high standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an automotive repair facility, dealership, or similar service environment and be able to independently perform basic automotive services without assistance. Key Responsibilities Lead and work alongside one other TXM technician as a two-person team. Perform routine automotive maintenance independently, including: Engine oil and filter changes Tire rotations Tire mounting and balancing Vehicle inspections Fluid checks and top-offs Battery checks and replacement Air filter and cabin air filter replacement Wiper blade replacement Other basic automotive maintenance services Complete digital/video multi-point inspections (MPIs) accurately and thoroughly. Record and communicate vehicle conditions and recommended maintenance through the video MPI process. Properly operate automotive lifts, tire equipment, balancing machines, and other shop equipment. Ensure completed work meets dealership and Toyota standards. Provide direction, training, and support to the other TXM technician. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with service advisors, technicians, and management. Follow all dealership safety procedures and manufacturer service guidelines. Maintain an efficient workflow and ensure customers receive timely service. Lead by example through strong productivity, quality workmanship, and safe work practices. Qualifications Previous experience working in an automotive repair facility, dealership, quick-lube, or similar environment required. Ability to independently perform oil changes, tire rotations, tire balancing, and other basic automotive services. Comfortable completing video multi-point inspections and documenting vehicle conditions accurately. Previous leadership or team-lead experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person team. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record . Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test . Must provide your own professional automotive tools . Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Schedule & Compensation 3 days per week 12-hour shifts Flat-rate pay structure Three-day workweek provides additional days off while maintaining a full-time schedule.
