Job Summary Join our dynamic automotive team as a passionate and energetic Automotive Service Advisor! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every vehicle owner. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine your automotive knowledge with sales skills, providing tailored service recommendations that enhance vehicle performance and safety. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen to their concerns, and accurately document vehicle issues to facilitate efficient service. Explain repair and maintenance options clearly, including auto estimating, upselling additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission repairs. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services. Write detailed service orders and maintain accurate records of all transactions, including cash handling when applicable. Provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance needs such as diesel engine repair, shocks & struts replacement, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and wheel alignments. Promote automotive repair services by identifying opportunities for upselling while maintaining integrity and transparency with customers. Manage customer follow-ups to ensure satisfaction after service completion and foster long-term relationships. Assist in managing parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability of necessary components for repairs. Experience Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, auto body repair, air brake systems, and alignments. Experience with auto estimating software and service writing is essential for accurate documentation. Demonstrated ability in upselling automotive services while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Background in mechanic work or service technician roles enhances your ability to communicate effectively with technicians and customers alike. Excellent sales skills combined with mechanical knowledge to recommend appropriate vehicle maintenance solutions confidently. Strong cash handling skills along with exceptional customer service abilities are crucial for success in this role. $400.00 - $1,500.00 per week
