Description:
Automotive Technician/Mechanic (Diagnostic) Growing national auto auction company! Diagnostic Auto Tech/Mechanic opening for our Baton Rouge/Hammond Region! Diagnostic experience with gas and diesel engines is required. This position includes a mechanic's demo van with travel to both auctions (Baton Rouge & Hammond). Rewards for Automotive Technician/Mechanic (Diagnostic) $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 Mechanic's Demo Van! Monday - Friday schedule No nights or weekends Early off on Fridays No upselling or overbilling Steady work Comprehensive benefits package Generous paid time off Paid holidays Matching 401(k) Career growth potential Responsibilities for Automotive Technician/Mechanic (Diagnostic) Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on cars, vans, and light trucks. Perform engine tune-ups and troubleshoot complex vehicle issues. Repair or replace parts and components as needed. Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Provide courteous, efficient customer service. Communicate operational concerns to management in a timely manner. Work independently and collaboratively with the team. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Requirements for Automotive Technician/Mechanic (Diagnostic) 5+ years of automotive technician/mechanic experience. Gas and diesel engine diagnostic experience. Able to work on various makes and models. Must be at least 21 years old. Valid driver's license and a good driving record. High school diploma or equivalent required. Good set of tools (specialty tools provided). Knowledge of mechanical systems and repair techniques. Strong attention to detail and safety practices. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and staff. Able to prioritize tasks and handle urgent repairs. Works independently and as part of a team. Reliable, accountable, and professional. Physical Requirements for Automotive Technician/Mechanic (Diagnostic) Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor operational environments. Ability to use tools and mechanical equipment safely. America's is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
