Job Summary TekMetric experience is required. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Automotive Technician to drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring that all automotive repairs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing complex vehicle issues, performing advanced repairs, and mentoring team members to develop their skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence service delivery in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Duties Lead and supervise a team of automotive technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of repairs. Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain a variety of vehicle systems including engines (diesel and gasoline), powertrain components, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and automotive wiring diagrams. Conduct heavy lifting, mechanical repairs, wheel alignments, and auto body repairs with precision and safety compliance. Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Oversee vehicle maintenance procedures ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Support the team in developing their skills through coaching on the use of hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and manual handling practices. Maintain detailed repair records, ensure quality control checks, and uphold customer service standards by communicating clearly with clients about repair processes. Qualifications Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repair. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, engine systems (including diesel engines), powertrain components, and ADAS technology. Skilled in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and automotive service manuals. Hands-on experience with heavy lifting equipment, alignment machines, welding tools, and other maintenance machinery. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple repair tasks simultaneously.
