Provide direct and indirect patient care within any clinical area under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Provide one-on-one observation of selected patients for the purpose of maintaining patient safety.Other information:
The Nursing Assistant will be required to complete a checklist of skills. The unit director will keep this checklist. Only after the required skills have been demonstrated proficiently to the unit director, will the Nursing Assistant be able to perform these duties independently.Specialized or Technical Education Required:
Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Louisiana is required.Manual or Physical Skill Required:
Good mental health to work effectively with patients, families, physicians and other personnel.Physical Effort Required:
