Sterling Ford Lincoln in Opelousas, LA is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our Service Department. If you enjoy diagnosing problems, performing quality repairs, and working in a fast-paced dealership environment, we'd love to have you on our team. In this role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of vehicles while helping deliver a safe, reliable, and exceptional ownership experience for our customers. Whether you're performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting complex issues, or completing major repairs, you'll play an important role in keeping our customers on the road. What You'll Do Diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicles according to manufacturer and dealership standards. Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, air conditioning, and other vehicle components. Use diagnostic equipment and testing procedures to identify and resolve vehicle concerns. Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure quality workmanship. Document completed repairs and communicate findings with Service Advisors and management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with manufacturer technology and repair procedures. What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years professional automotive diagnosis & repair experience ASE or manufacturer certifications preferred Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Team-oriented with good communication skills High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with clean driving record Must be at least 18 years of age Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen Why Work at Sterling Automotive Group?
