This role offers a guaranteed hourly rate between $30 and $40, with no flat rate pressure—allowing you to focus on quality work and customer satisfaction. As a highly skilled technician, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, including both gasoline and diesel engines, utilizing your extensive mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience. Your role is vital in ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently while delivering exceptional service that keeps customers coming back. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, steering components, and powertrain systems. Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and repairs to ensure modern vehicle safety features function properly. Execute routine maintenance services such as oil changes, alignments, wheel balancing, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues effectively. Qualifications Proven dealership or automotive repair industry experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, and ADAS technology. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical problems accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software essential for comprehensive repairs. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Mechanical knowledge of diesel engine repair and heavy equipment mechanics is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
