Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and specialized tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on transmissions, brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, hydraulics, air brake systems, and other mechanical components. Maintain and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding, power tools, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs. Service and troubleshoot vehicle systems including HVAC, electrical systems, powertrains, and vehicle alignment for trucks and cars. Execute routine maintenance tasks such as tire service, wheel alignments, fluid changes, and equipment maintenance to extend vehicle lifespan. Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing phases while adhering to all safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in automotive diagnostics essential. Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and industrial machinery. Skilled in reading schematics and mechanical diagrams for complex vehicle systems repair. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques required for fabrication and assembly tasks. Familiarity with diesel mechanics, tractor-trailers, heavy truck repair, suspension systems, and automotive electrical repairs. Ability to lift heavy parts or equipment safely during maintenance procedures; excellent mechanical knowledge across multiple vehicle types. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
