Position Overview:
We are looking for a mechanically-inclined individual with a passion for specialty coffee. If you've worked as a barista and are interested in expanding your skills to include maintaining and repairing coffee equipment, we want to hear from you! No prior experience in equipment repair is necessary—we value your hands-on experience with coffee and will provide training.
Responsibilities:
Installing and performing preventative maintenance/quality checks on espresso, coffee, and grinding equipment. Responding to service calls on-site and troubleshooting over the phone with customers. Tracking parts inventory and ensuring in-stock status of parts. Maintaining an organized and clean workspace. Driving a company vehicle to service sites within a two-hour radius. Assisting with maintenance of roastery equipment and other duties as assigned.
Capabilities & Requirements:
You might be the right person if: You have experience working as a barista in independent specialty coffee shops. You have basic understanding and proficiency with tools, machinery, and basic electrical and plumbing. You're comfortable lifting up to 45 pounds, bending, reaching, carrying, standing, and walking throughout the day. You have a valid and current driver's license and can drive a company vehicle. You're good at prioritizing tasks, managing your time efficiently, and are okay with being available for weekend service on an on-call basis (shared between several employees). Opportunities for
