Role Description This full-time, on-site Experienced Automotive Technician role is based at a Meineke Car Care Center in Worcester, MA. The technician will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including services such as brakes, exhaust, suspension, steering, engine performance, and routine inspections. Day-to-day responsibilities include using diagnostic equipment, reviewing repair orders, communicating findings and recommendations to service advisors, and completing work in line with company standards and safety guidelines. The role also involves test-driving vehicles to verify repairs, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and accurately documenting all services performed. The technician will collaborate with the service and shop teams to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality workmanship, and positive customer experiences. Qualifications Strong automotive diagnostic and repair skills, including experience with brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, and engine performance. Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and service information systems. Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules, inspection procedures, and safety standards. Ability to read and interpret repair orders, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams. Effective communication skills to explain technical issues and repair recommendations clearly. Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship. ASE certifications or manufacturer training strongly preferred; willingness to pursue additional certifications is beneficial. Previous experience as an automotive technician in a professional repair or dealership environment. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Ability to lift and move automotive parts and equipment and to stand for extended periods.
