Field Technician, Valleybike Who We Are Drop Mobility builds shared electric micromobility vehicles which have been deployed across multiple North American markets. You are able to problem solve and pivot quickly to respond to the needs of the riders, and the bikes on the ground. You are looking for fun, fulfilling work focussed on ensuring that the bikes are in good repair, have ample battery charge, are balanced throughout the communities, and ready to get riders to their destinations. You have a good driving record, the stamina to lift and move bikes throughout the workday and previous experience working with bicycles. The Role You will be responsible for implementing all aspects of the shared e-bike operations, including visiting bikes in the communities to retrieve, relocate, repair and recharge them as necessary. You will work with a local Fleet Manager to plan routes, achieve fleet wide maintenance goals and optimize the system on a daily basis. This role is local to Northampton and surrounding areas and reports to a local Fleet Manager. Success in this role will require: Balancing and cleaning bicycles in the field, ensuring e-bikes are available in good repair with charged batteries Identifying opportunities for improved efficiency in hub visits and maintenance routes Ability to identify repair needs and accurately triage damaged equipment Developing comprehensive knowledge of the system to aid users in signup and rental processes The ability to work autonomously and adapt workflow in response to changes in the field What You Bring Experience in transportation, rental or sport adjacent industries Knowledge of bicycles and bike maintenance Local knowledge of Northampton and its surrounding area Strong communication and organizational skills: daily, proactive, communication and liaising with managers and customer service Exposure to warehouse environments Passion for bikes and the outdoors Valid driver's license and good driving record Ability to lift up to 75lb Equal opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
