Flat Rate Automotive Service Technician Nucar Volkswagen of Norwood is looking for a reliable and experienced Flat Rate Automotive Service Technician to join our growing dealership team. What We're Looking For Experience Required:
Minimum of 2 years of automotive repair experience. Dealership experience is preferred, but not required. Volkswagen or European vehicle experience is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, drivability, engine repair, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and preventive maintenance.
Detail-Oriented:
Ability to accurately complete repair orders and document all work performed.
Team Player:
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently with service advisors and fellow technicians.
Certifications:
ASE certifications are a plus but not required. A Massachusetts State Vehicle Inspector License is preferred and qualifies for additional compensation. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, steering, and brake systems. Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, and manufacturer-recommended maintenance. Utilize factory diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle concerns. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining Volkswagen quality standards. Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate findings with the service team. Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
