This position involves inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment. You will work under the direction of the Shop Manager and play a key role in keeping our customers' vehicles safe and running reliably. Responsibilities
- Inspect trucks, trailers, and equipment based on customer concerns and determine necessary repairs
- Create accurate parts lists and perform repairs efficiently
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventive services on fleet vehicles and equipment
- Replace or repair worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts
- Perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, climbing, twisting, and working in various positions Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a heavy-duty truck or equipment mechanic (required)
- Strong ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair trucks and equipment
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems and terminology
- Excellent troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills
- Proficient in the safe operation of shop tools and equipment Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
- CDL (a plus)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Must be punctual and able to work full shifts Preferred Experience (a plus):
