Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including foreign and domestic vehicles. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced automotive systems, including electrical systems, transmissions, and diesel engines. Candidates should possess excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify vehicle issues efficiently Conduct repairs on various systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and alignments Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems Repair or replace components using hand tools and power tools with precision and safety adherence Conduct State and Federal Inspections including school bus and 7D. Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and modules Assist in the repair of welding or bodywork as needed for vehicle restoration or collision repairs Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings clearly. Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards Qualifications Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain, transmissions, and diesel engine repair Familiarity with schematics, wheel alignment equipment, and auto estimating software is a plus Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately Excellent mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving skills Customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly to clients Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ASE certification or equivalent is advantageous, CDL is a plus But not require.
