Duties Perform comprehensive repairs and restorations on vintage and classic vehicles, including engine rebuilds, bodywork, and cosmetic enhancements Diagnose complex mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify root causes efficiently Repair or replace automotive suspension systems, shocks & struts, brakes, transmissions, and powertrain components to ensure optimal vehicle performance Conduct alignment procedures and wheel balancing to guarantee precise handling and safety standards Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical systems repair tools safely and effectively during restoration projects Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, air brake system repairs, and general vehicle upkeep Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for accurate repairs Ensure all work complies with dealership standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a focus on restoration or dealership settings Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems, diesel engines, transmissions, and heavy equipment mechanics Hands-on experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto body repair, auto estimating, and GM vehicles is preferred Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation for efficient troubleshooting Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools Knowledge of automotive suspension systems including shocks & struts and alignment procedures Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly to team members or clients Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward client satisfaction Valid certifications or training related to diesel engine repair, brake repair, oil change services, or automotive electrical systems is advantageous Join us if you're passionate about restoring vehicles to their former glory!
