In this energetic role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive restoration and repair work on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and authenticity. Your expertise in automotive bodywork, structural repairs, and finishing techniques will be vital in transforming damaged or aged vehicles into stunning showpieces. Duties Perform automotive structural repairs, including sheet metal work, welding (MIG, soldering), and fabrication repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and bodies. Conduct auto body repairs such as dent removal, panel replacement, sanding, and automotive cosmetic repairs to achieve smooth, flawless surfaces. Utilize automotive welding equipment and power tools to carry out welding repair tasks with precision and safety. Apply auto painting techniques using airless paint spraying equipment and automotive body refinishing methods to deliver high-quality finishes. Install automotive parts, auto glass, and perform assembly tasks with attention to detail for both functional integrity and aesthetic appeal. Use hand tools, sanding tools, and fabrication techniques to shape, repair, or modify vehicle components during restoration projects. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols; assist with heavy lifting as needed during vehicle handling or parts installation. Skills Proven experience in auto restoration or working as an automotive body technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and fabrication repair techniques essential for structural work. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, automotive parts installation, and general automotive repair processes. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment for precise craftsmanship. Familiarity with auto painting, auto body repair, automotive cosmetic repair, and automotive refinishing processes. Ability to perform auto estimating and auto damage assessment; excellent customer service skills are a plus. Physical ability for heavy lifting and working on vehicles in various positions; detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship.
