Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components. Repair and maintain powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems to ensure smooth operation. Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs, wheel alignments, and steering system diagnostics to optimize handling and safety. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical problems within complex automotive electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs, replacements, and adjustments on various vehicle parts. Service diesel engines and perform maintenance on GM vehicles or other makes/models as required. Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, estimates, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer service experience. Requirements Proven dealership or service center experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics, and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive repair including powertrain, transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, and vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with automotive wiring diagram interpretation and the use of automotive diagnostic tools. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment. Ability to work efficiently on GM vehicles or similar brands; experience with diesel engine repair is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward vehicle service excellence.
