We are looking for quality individuals who can help us continue our success. We have opportunities for a Mechanic in Millersville, Maryland. The Mechanic repairs and maintains company automobiles and equipment.
Essential Job Functions :
1. Performs maintenance duties at the Mechanic Shop and possibly at field sites . 2. Tests vehicles and equipment after repair or maintenance to ensure proper performance. 3. Cleans, lubricates and performs routine maintenance, including replacing or repairing damaged or worn parts for our fleet vehicles. 4. Operates and inspects vehicles and equipment to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs. 5. Dismantles and reassembles vehicles and equipment using lifts and hand tools.
Additional Responsibilities :
1. Assists Manager with scheduled maintenance and outside repairs. 2. Works with Construction Coordinator to ensure vehicles and equipment is properly prepared. 3. Makes deliveries and pick ups as necessary. 4. Responsible for proper disposal of refuse, including but not limited to, damaged or worn parts, waste oil and used lubricants.
Qualifications :
1. 5+ years of related mechanical experience or related education 2. Knowledge of vehicles, machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance a must. 3. Reads and understands operating manuals, blueprints, and drawings. 4. Must be able to work independently and deal with changing priorities. 5. Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Spanish language skills a plus. 6. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive various types of vehicles. 7. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
