Job Description

Bayside Toyota/Chevrolet of Prince Frederick is hiring a Maintenance Technician / Quick Lube Technician who has the desire to grow and move forward with our company. This position offers paid training and a path to advancement to apprentice technician. Job Position Essential Functions:
Perform oil change services and communicate findings to service advisors and teammates. Inspect and refill fluid levels as needed. Complete multi-point vehicle inspections, including inspection video, measuring brake, tire, and battery wear. Clean and lubricate fittings as needed. Install oil drain plugs, oil filters, air filters, cabin filters, and wiper blades. Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all shop safety procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. General automotive repair skills preferred; no prior dealership experience required. A self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail. A results-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a service shop environment and is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, hot surfaces, oils and solvents, and fumes or airborne particles. The employee may be exposed to varying temperatures and to wet or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will frequently be required to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position. Work hours and days must be flexible and which could include evening hours and weekends. Location This position is located in Prince Frederick, MD.
