A Lube Technician performs routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, fluid checks, and minor inspections, ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Lube Technicians are responsible for performing essential maintenance services on vehicles to maintain optimal performance and safety.

Their duties typically include:

Performing oil changes and lubricating mechanical systems such as wheel bearings and chassis fittings. Inspecting fluid levels including engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant, and power steering fluid. Replacing filters (air, oil, cabin, and fuel) and other basic maintenance items like wiper blades and batteries. Conducting tire rotations and checking tire pressure, adding air as needed. Performing multi-point vehicle inspections to identify leaks, wear, or other maintenance needs. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment and accurate service records. Providing excellent customer service , explaining maintenance performed, and making recommendations for additional services. Required Skills and Qualifications Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues. Physical stamina , including the ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, stoop, and work in varying weather conditions. High school diploma or equivalent ; postsecondary training or ASE certification is advantageous. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong communication and customer service skills , with the ability to interact professionally with clients
