Role:
As a Service Advisor, you're the primary point of contact between our customers and our service department. You'll listen to customer concerns, recommend the right maintenance and repairs, and keep customers informed from the moment they arrive until they drive away happy.
What You'll Do:
Greet customers promptly and professionally, build rapport, and identify vehicle concerns Conduct walk-around inspections and listen closely to understand customer needs Write up accurate repair orders that support efficient diagnostics and repairs Recommend maintenance and repair services based on vehicle condition, manufacturer guidelines, and customer needs Prepare accurate estimates for labor, parts, and services, and get customer authorization before work begins Verify warranty and service contract coverage and clearly explain terms and exclusions Work closely with technicians and keep customers updated on status, delays, and additional recommendations Arrange loaners, shuttles, or other transportation when needed Follow up after service to confirm satisfaction and resolve any concerns Pitch in during inclement weather, including snow removal for customer walkways, the service drive, inventory, and vehicle access points
What We're Looking For:
Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills and willingness to learn dealership systems Problem-solving and organizational skills Automotive knowledge preferred, but we'll train the right person
How You'll Succeed:
Meet or exceed dealership and manufacturer benchmarks, including customer satisfaction (NPS/CSI) Hit department goals for effective labor rate (ELR) and hours per repair order Follow manufacturer program requirements, including photo/video inspections where applicable Show up on time, take ownership of the customer experience, and support your teammates
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Fast-paced dealership setting, split between the office and the service drive Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs Exposure to noise, vehicle exhaust, and varying weather conditions Ability to enter and exit vehicles, move vehicles as needed, and perform basic visual inspections
Compensation & Benefits:
Commission-based pay plan with a draw. Full details on compensation, incentives, and performance metrics are outlined in our formal pay plan. Health insurance runs $60/week as a base deduction, if you are not a tobacco/nicotine product user, we deduct $20, and another $20 if you have your annual physical, making your weekly deduction down to $20/week . Company-paid dental and vision. Company-paid life, short- and long-term disability, and long-term care. HMO, PPO, and HSA options. 401(k) with company match. Paid vacation and holidays. A year-end bonus and a celebration event that includes an overnight stay with a guest.
