The Automotive Student Technician is an entry-level position designed for students pursuing a career in the automotive field.

This role provides hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair under the supervision of experienced technicians. The student technician assists with basic service tasks while developing technical skills and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Assist senior technicians with vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs

Perform basic services such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery checks, and fluid top-offs

Help diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools (under supervision)

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Properly handle tools and equipment

Document work performed and report findings to supervising technicians

Participate in ongoing training and skill development

Requirements:

Basic understanding of automotive systems and components

Strong willingness to learn and take direction

Good problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment

Valid driver's license

Possess Basic Toolbox Work Environment:

Client internal fleet Diagnostics/Repair shop
