Job Description

Gen Oil is looking for a hands-on Fleet & Equipment Services Technician to maintain our transportation fleet and service customer-owned fuel and DEF equipment across Southeast Michigan. You'll split your time between the shop, customer sites, and the road — diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and fuel-handling systems, keeping service vans stocked and road-ready, and being the technical point of contact customers can count on.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Fleet & Equipment Maintenance Manage and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, tanks, pumps, DEF equipment, and more with a high degree of independence. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel-system failures; disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as needed. Serve as primary technician for incoming commercial equipment service, maintenance, and new equipment prep. Keep the refueling fleet and service vans clean, organized, and properly stocked as required. Customer & Field Support Build and maintain relationships with commercial customers on-site, responding to equipment issues with parts on hand and authority to repair or replace in the field. Safely deliver bulk DEF, oil, case goods, fuel tanks, and other fuel-related products, including trailer-towed loads in support of the Operations Team as required. Respond to and help remediate spills in coordination with the safety team. Warehouse & Logistics Manage equipment inventory and maintain accurate fleet maintenance records. Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and safe; propose improvements to layout and workflow. Coordinate case goods logistics and delivery documentation with office staff. Safety, Documentation & Systems Follow all local, state, and federal safety and compliance standards in every service and delivery task. Track projects and service tickets in MaintainX, Fleet Panda and other related software as required.
