Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Mechanic / Light Duty Automotive Dismantler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, and preparing automotive parts for resale or for salvage, ensuring all processes meet safety and quality standards. This position offers an opportunity to work with a variety of automotive systems and components, contributing to efficient vehicle recycling and parts recovery. Your mechanical expertise and hands-on skills will help drive our commitment to sustainable automotive practices and customer satisfaction. Duties Disassemble vehicles using power tools and specialized equipment, focusing on light-duty automotive dismantling tasks Perform automotive drive line removal, body panel removal, vehicle depolution, wheel and tire breakdown. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify salvageable parts and assess mechanical systems' condition Utilize software to document parts removed and prepare accurate reports for inventory management Maintain detailed records of vehicle disassembly processes, repairs performed, and parts salvaged Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of standard passenger car operation Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including electrical, mechanical, and body components Ability to perform automotive tire changes and operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in a fast-paced environment involving manual labor Knowledge of automotive parts Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members Join us if you're passionate about the automotive industry, recycling, enjoy working with your hands, and want to be part of a team dedicated to sustainable vehicle recycling!
