We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Mechanic - Transmission Repair Specialist to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain automatic and manual transmission systems in a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, extensive knowledge of drivetrain components, and the ability to deliver high-quality repairs while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction standards. Key Responsibilities Diagnose transmission, drivetrain, and related mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and road testing procedures. Remove, repair, rebuild, and reinstall automatic and manual transmissions. Inspect and repair torque converters, clutches, transfer cases, differentials, CV axles, and related components. Perform transmission fluid services, filter replacements, and preventative maintenance. Use electronic diagnostic tools to identify transmission control module (TCM) and powertrain issues. Conduct post-repair testing to ensure proper operation and performance. Complete repair orders, inspection reports, and service documentation accurately and timely. Communicate findings and repair recommendations to service advisors and customers when required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and safety regulations. Assist with general automotive repairs and maintenance as business needs require. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of automotive repair experience, preferably with a focus on transmissions. Strong understanding of automatic and manual transmission systems. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and working Relevant Qualifications ASE Certification (A2, A7, A8, or equivalent). ASE Certified Master Technician. Transmission-specific certifications or factory training. Experience with domestic, import, and light-duty truck transmissions. Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
