This is a driving and shop position where you'll split your time between local deliveries, loading/unloading equipment, and hands-on shop work. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for permanent employment for the right person. The company has successfully hired employees through this type of arrangement in the past. Pay & Schedule Starting pay: approximately $25/hour Monday-Friday, approximately 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Overtime is common — average workweek is approximately 45 hours Some Saturdays may be required Primarily local driving Occasional trips to the east side of Michigan; Holland is a common destination What You'll Do Drive flatbed trucks as the company's #2 driver Load and unload trucks and industrial furnaces Operate overhead cranes and forklifts Secure loads using chains and binders Assist with shop and equipment-related duties Help maintain a safe and organized work environment Learn to operate industrial furnaces through company training What We're Looking For Valid CDL Class B Valid DOT medical card Clean driving record Clean background Comfortable loading/unloading heavy equipment Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts and overhead cranes Willingness to learn furnace operation Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to work overtime when needed Excellent Benefits After Hire-In Once hired permanently, the company provides a strong benefits package, including: 100% company-paid medical insurance for the employee, spouse, and dependents No employee out-of-pocket medical premium Priority Health Delta Dental 401(k) with company matching Why Consider This Opportunity?
