Sweet Repair, LLC, a growing tractor trailer repair group located in Grand Rapids, MI, is looking for experienced trailer mechanics to service the fleet of Sweet Express and Omni Transport and our customers. Sign on bonus up to $3,600 total in the first 6 months. The general schedule for the position is 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday . We offer a full complement of traditional benefits for all employees and their dependents that start on the first of the month after date of hire. Our goal is to hire team members who will help us take care of our fleet like it is their own and provide that same service to outside customers. Successful Trailer mechanics will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Diagnose and repair trailers, including preventive maintenance, inspections, repair to air brakes, tires, warrant procedures, and suspension with safety as top priority.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on trailer equipment including routine technical repairs and repair orders. Applying and removing decals and compliance stickers.
• Removing and replacing damaged components, electrical repairs, brake and axle work, and welding. Body repairs including sheet metal patching, riveting and replacement of complete or partial panels for dry box shipping.
• Troubleshooting and mechanical diagnostics to identify repair needs.
• Prepare and complete required paperwork.

The ideal candidate will have prior trailer repair and maintenance experience; however, we will consider candidates with related education or experience. Benefits available for

• Must be of 18 years or older.
• 1+ Years' Experience in trailer repair or body work
• Must have tools
• Related experience and knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and techniques.
• Attention to accuracy and detail
• Must be able to demonstrate safety consciousness
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs, walk, lift, reach, stand, grasp, climb, and crouch for extended periods of time.
• Self-starter with a high degree of problem-solving skills and deductive reasoning.
