Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems such as engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Repair and replace automotive parts utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized heavy equipment mechanics tools. Work on advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and automotive electrical systems to enhance vehicle safety features. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic problems efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles meet safety standards before returning to the road. Experience Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop settings. Demonstrated expertise in diesel engine repair, automotive diagnostics, transmission repair, and mechanical systems repair. Familiarity with automotive suspension system repair, wheel alignment procedures, brake repair, and oil change services. Knowledge of ADAS technology, automotive electrical systems, and heavy equipment mechanics is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics interpretation, and welding techniques.
