Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across vehicle systems including electrical, mechanical, powertrain, transmission, suspension, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Repair and maintain various vehicle components such as engines (including diesel engines), transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension systems, and electrical wiring diagrams interpretation. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to execute repairs with precision and safety. Conduct wheel alignments and vehicle suspension system repairs to ensure optimal handling and safety standards. Interpret automotive schematics and wiring diagrams accurately for complex electrical system troubleshooting. Diagnose and repair vehicle transmission systems, ensuring smooth operation and longevity. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, managing expectations, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the service process. Experience Dealership experience or equivalent service technician background preferred. Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes across various vehicle makes, especially GM vehicles. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Knowledge of ADAS technology integration and calibration is highly desirable. Familiarity with auto estimating software to assist in accurate job costing. Demonstrated ability to perform maintenance tasks including vehicle inspections, oil changes, brake repairs, and system diagnostics. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to work efficiently with hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced environment.
