Responsibilities Diagnose automotive system issues using diagnostic tools and inspection techniques to determine required repairs and maintenance. Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles, including powertrain, alignment, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems. Use hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, replace parts, and reassemble components to OEM specifications. Conduct quality checks, road tests, and documentation of service and estimates for customers and service advisors. Communicate clearly with customers about findings, timelines, and recommendations while ensuring safety and compliance with dealership or shop guidelines. Qualifications Strong automotive diagnostics and repair abilities with solid mechanical knowledge Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools; performing vehicle maintenance and service Experience with automotive electrical systems, powertrain, alignment, and basic welding Prior service/tech experience, preferably in a dealership or multi-brand shop Excellent customer service and ability to estimate repairs; knowledge of transmissions and ADAS a plus
