Automotive Technician Reports to :Service Manager Job Classification:
Full Time Work Schedule:
Dealership Hours are 8:00 am-5:00 pm- Monday-Friday, and 8:00 am-noon Saturday. Position is scheduled 40-48 hours per week, or as dealership volume and needs dictate Scope of departmental work: Vehicle maintenance & repairsCompensation:
$55,000-$125,000 per year, and we offer a very competitive bonus planResponsibilities:
- Vehicle Diagnostic utilizing test drives, diagnostic equipment, and various special service tools
- Communicating with service advisors to provide estimates for repairs or additional services needed
- Basic computer skills needed to story out vehicle repairs and run diagnostic equipment
- Complete repairs on Engines, Electrical Components, Brakes, Suspension & Steering, and HVAC systems.
- Complete warranty repairs in accordance with GM standards
- Complete vehicle inspections on each vehicle to ensure all problems are identified
- Stay current with State of Michigan or ASE certifications
