The Opportunity We are seeking a full-time fleet field mechanic to perform maintenance on automotive or Heavy Construction Equipment. Diagnostic and repair of hydraulic systems, diesel/gas engines, hydraulic/air brakes, electrical, and chassis. Diagnose heavy equipment, adjust, repair, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as cranes, bulldozers, trenchers, knuckle booms, etc. used in construction. What You'll Do Communicate repairs, maintenance, and needs with field staff, site Foreman, vendors, etc. Practically and safely maintain and operate field service truck. Receive direction from fleet administration and field personnel. On call for emergency breakdowns. Practically and safely repair and maintain all types of equipment. Flexible schedule to accommodate emergencies and varying field needs. Open and/or add to work orders via Fleetio and provide a detailed service report for repairs and maintenance. Ensure all truck stocked and non-stocked parts are charged to the appropriate units. Maintain safe tooling stock. Other duties assigned by management. What You'll Bring Extensive experience of various repairs and maintenance including but not limited to; chassis, engine, brakes (air and hydraulic), hydraulic systems, aerial devices, track machines, welding, fabricating, and electrical systems of various types of equipment. Complete site safety training. Basic to intermediate computer skills (email, diagnostic software, excel, etc.) Most hold a valid U.S. driver's license with CDL A and chauffer's endorsement. Current DOT medical card. Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT drug test.
