Role:

R&M Fabrication is looking for an experienced and motivated Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our growing upfitting division. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and has hands-on experience working with Class 8 trucks . The Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic will perform complex installations, repairs, and custom fabrications as part of our specialized team.

Key Responsibilities:

Stretch and modify truck frames Install lift axles, wet kits, and hydraulic systems Fabricate and install hitches Mount and install dump bodies and related components Perform general upfitting, diagnostics, and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic Strong knowledge of air brake plumbing and electrical systems Welding and fabrication experience preferred Must have own tools and strong mechanical aptitude Commitment to safety, precision, and quality work
