Full Job Description Job Summary An automotive service dispatcher manages repair workflow, assigns work orders to technicians, and tracks job status. Key responsibilities include balancing shop productivity, coordinating with parts teams, and updating service advisors Key Responsibilities Assign repair orders based on technician skill levels and certifications Monitor daily shop workflow to reduce bottlenecks and downtime Coordinate with the parts department to prevent delays Track repair progress and relay timeline changes to service advisors Review completed repair orders for accuracy and proper documentation [1, 2, 3] Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED Prior automotive dealership or shop experience preferred Strong organization, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) or dispatch software Clear verbal and written communication skills
