is looking for a skilled, resourceful mechanic to join our team in Bemidji, Minnesota. This is not a traditional mechanic position. You'll work on some of the most unique off-road and amphibious vehicles in the world, helping prepare, maintain, diagnose, repair, and improve machines that operate in places conventional vehicles simply cannot go. We're looking for someone who is mechanically capable, curious, dependable, and willing to figure things out. The right person doesn't need to know everything on day one, but they should enjoy solving problems, working with their hands, and taking pride in doing things the right way.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, service, diagnose, and repair SHERP vehicles Perform routine maintenance and vehicle preparation Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain systems Install accessories, upgrades, and vehicle modifications Prepare new vehicles for customer delivery Occasionally assist with demonstrations, testing, and field operations Work alongside our fabrication and technical teams on custom projects Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Document repairs, service work, and parts usage Help solve unusual mechanical problems that may not have an obvious answer
What We're Looking For:
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability Experience working on automotive, diesel, powersports, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, or similar machinery Comfortable using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and shop equipment Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems is preferred Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects Attention to detail and pride in workmanship Willingness to learn unfamiliar equipment and systems Dependable, hardworking, and easy to work with Valid driver's license Formal education or certifications are helpful, but they are not the most important thing to us. We care more about what you can do, how you think, and how willing you are to learn.

$20.00 - $40.00 per hour
