Position:

School Bus Mechanic Wage is negotiable based on experience!

Responsibilities:

Complete vehicle repair/maintenance work assigned and maintains necessary work related records. Work with Fleet Manager to contribute to shop inventory maintenance. Open and/or close the shop on a regular basis. Perform daily pre-trip inspection on vehicles. Perform annual checklist on vehicles to prepare for DOT inspection. Complies with all laws and regulations that apply to the department. Attends appropriate training sessions as part of programs of continuing education. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

Post high school training at the college or vocational level with emphasis on mechanics. Experience may be substituted for education

Experience:

3+ years diesel mechanical experience preferred. Strong verbal and organizational skills necessary. Automotive electrical experience desirable. Good people skills necessary. Commercial driver's license with school bus endorsement desirable, but paid training is available!

Other:

Must be in good physical condition. Pre-employment random drug testing required. Must attend all training sessions required by law. Must comply with all safety regulations and policies of the company. DOT vehicle inspection certificate. Will be required to get a Class B license with accurate endorsements (In House Paid Training Available) - If not already licensed
