Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable, knowledgeable, Full-Time Mechanic with an associate's degree or relevant work experience in diesel equipment &/or small engine mechanics, to join our team. This position averages approximately 35 hours per week annually, with hours varying seasonally. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, is a self-starter with attention to detail and excellent time management skills and is committed to providing outstanding customer service. Schedule & Availability Requirements Rotating schedule (days and hours will vary) Must have weekend availability (rotating weekend schedule) and flexible weekday availability

Saturday:

- 6:15 PM (Store hours 8:00 AM

Sunday:
8:45 AM
- 4:15 PM (Store hours 9:00 AM
- 4:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and repairing rental equipment
- Ensuring maintenance is being completed on all equipment in proper intervals and logged properly
- Parts ordering
- Husqvarna warranty work
- Rental deliveries
- On the road repair services
- Maintain cleanliness of back-room maintenance area
- Complete routine equipment inspections
- Operate Total Rental and POS Software to complete reservations, availability inquiries, and open and close rental contracts for customers
- Load and unload rental equipment and various merchandise into customer vehicles &/or on to trailers (must be able to lift more than 60lbs)
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service both in person and via phone calls
- Assist customers with questions, requests, and product location for regular merchandise and rental products
- General cleaning tasks
- Learn about the store layout and information on all of our products and services offered
- Stock and merchandise products as directed
- Follow all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in diesel equipment &/or small engine mechanics or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience required
- Valid driver's license and ability to confidently maneuver trailers and heavy/large equipment required
- General knowledge of the use and operation of all equipment available for rent
- Electrical diagnosis
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem solving and task management skills
- Self-starter who follows instructions well
- Fast learner with strong attention to detail
- Strong commitment to customer service
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- General computer knowledge
- POS and Total Rental experience a plus
- Retail experience (customer service) is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for extended periods
- Ability to lift over 60lbs
- Bending, kneeling, and use of step stools or ladders
- Ability to read screens and printed materials
- Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via radio earpieces
- Use of keyboard and telephone
