A great technician knows how to diagnose the problem, find the right repair, and stand behind the work. River Valley Power & Sport is looking for a skilled Powersports Service Technician to join our Rochester service team. We're looking for someone who already has a strong mechanical foundation, understands diagnostics, and takes pride in quality workmanship. Powersports dealership experience is valuable, but it isn't the only path to this position. Strong technicians from automotive, diesel, marine, motorcycle, agriculture, heavy equipment, or other mechanical repair backgrounds may have the skills we're looking for. If you're good with your hands, strong at troubleshooting, and want to build a career working on powersports products, we should talk. What You'll Work On Our Rochester technicians diagnose, service, and repair products from leading manufacturers, including: Can-Am ATVs, UTVs & Side-by-Sides Polaris ATVs, UTVs & Side-by-Sides Sea-Doo Personal Watercraft Ski-Doo Snowmobiles Yamaha Suzuki Additional powersports products and equipment This is a Powersports Technician position with a diverse service workload. The Opportunity $63,000-$85,000+ annual earning potential Productivity incentives Full-time, year-round employment Consistent service volume Modern, well-equipped service department OEM training and certification opportunities Employee discounts on vehicles, parts, accessories, apparel, and service Career growth within one of Minnesota's leading powersports and marine dealership groups Family-owned since 1996 What You'll Do Diagnose and repair ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, and other powersports equipment Troubleshoot engine, electrical, fuel, charging, drivetrain, and suspension systems Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative service Complete customer-pay and warranty repairs accurately and efficiently Install OEM accessories, components, and upgrades Assemble and prepare new units for customer delivery Document repairs and diagnostic findings clearly Work with Service Advisors and Parts Specialists to keep jobs moving efficiently Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and workmanship Who We're Looking For Mechanical experience matters for this position. We're looking for someone who has spent real time diagnosing and repairing machines—not someone starting from scratch.

You should bring:

Professional mechanical repair or technician experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Knowledge of engines, electrical systems, drivetrains, suspension, and general mechanical repair Pride in producing accurate, high-quality work Ability to work independently and manage repair jobs efficiently Strong attention to detail and follow-through Personal tools and toolbox Valid driver's license Experience with Can-Am, Polaris, Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo, Yamaha, Suzuki, dealership service, OEM certifications, electrical diagnostics, automotive repair, diesel repair, marine service, motorcycle repair, or heavy equipment is highly valued.
