Job Description
Tow Truck Operator/Roadside Service 940 North Scott Avenue, Belton, MO 64012 Full-time Full-time Currently looking to add Tow Truck Operators to our team!! Commission based pay starting at 37%!! Experience Preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Operators must be 23+ years of age, and must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record for the last 7 years. Summary Driving and operating specific towing vehicles and operating towing equipment for customers and for commercial purposes. Performing simple diagnostics/troubleshooting on vehicles. Providing an outstanding customer service experience for all of our Customers. Essential Functions Safely driving and operating a service vehicle (i.e. flat tire changes, lock-out, fuel delivery services, mechanical knowledge to help troubleshoot simple solutions for our customers vehicle.) On-scene time interacting with customers/establishing rapport, building relationships, trust and problem solving Utilizing towing software, communication platforms, and mapping systems Completion of daily paperwork (i.e. call-logs, invoices, cash receipts, etc.) Sell and install vehicle batteries: Assess customer needs, recommend appropriate battery options, complete sales transactions, and perform professional installation ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Clear and proficient verbal and written communication even under pressure Common knowledge of vehicle components and common reasons for vehicle failure Demonstrates problem solving and listening skills to evaluate member safety as well as the ability to discern safety issues and respond appropriately Education & Experience/Licenses & Certification/ Requirements Must possess a valid driver's license, if you live in MO then you need to have Class E endorsement Must be at least 23 years of age Two (2) years of experience in a tow truck would be preferred. Some automotive knowledge Work Environment/Physical Requirements Works outdoors at vehicle sites when servicing vehicles. Lifting and carrying tires and parts, weighing up to 75 pounds, several times a day; bending, kneeling and stooping as required for service calls. Works in all weather and all traffic conditions. Vehicle recovery sites may be wet, messy and hazardous. We are located at 940 N Scott Ave, Belton, MO 64012 and you would need to have reliable transportation to work on a daily basis.
