Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep our production lines running smoothly, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems, with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement. The candidate is also willing to travel between two locations. One in Bolivar and one is in Marshfield. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes. Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, pumps, valves, sensors, and wiring using welding skills ( welding if applicable). Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools like ammeters and ohmmeters to assess electrical system integrity and high/low voltage performance. Read schematics and electrical blueprints accurately to guide repairs on electrical systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Operate precision measuring instruments to ensure machinery meets specifications during installation or repair processes. Assist with industrial maintenance tasks involving HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, and other specialized equipment. Support engineering troubleshooting efforts by analyzing system performance data and recommending improvements. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and internal clients regarding repair timelines and maintenance needs. Skills Extensive experience in manufacturing facilities with a solid understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices. Proficiency with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical expertise in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs. Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems troubleshooting, and electrical blueprint reading. Skilled in welding (if applicable), equipment repair, high-voltage work, low-voltage systems, and electrical maintenance. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools accurately. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, industrial electrician experience, and engineering troubleshooting methods. Familiarity with scissor lifts operation for maintenance access purposes. Excellent analysis skills to diagnose issues efficiently while maintaining safety standards at all times. Strong customer service orientation with clear communication skills in English to collaborate effectively across teams.
