Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment and systems related to fiber optic construction work trucks, bucket trucks, trailers, drills and other equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and efficiency across the operation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities General service work such as routine oil changes and brake changes. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment using precision measuring instruments, schematics, and electrical blueprints. Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulic components, pneumatic systems, and mechanical failures utilizing diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Conduct electrical diagnostics including low voltage and high voltage troubleshooting to identify faults in electrical systems and components. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future maintenance tasks. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and engineering troubleshooting guides to resolve complex equipment issues efficiently. Maintain safety standards by adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent teamwork by communicating effectively with team members and supporting operational needs. Qualifications Ability to work independently and effectively communicate needs and performance when working without supervision. Proven experience working as a mechanic. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, bucket trucks, HDD drills, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics reading. Skilled in welding techniques including stick welding; ability to fabricate or repair metal components is essential. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management is preferred. Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with engineering troubleshooting is advantageous. Experience operating industrial equipment such as bucket trucks and HDD drills or similar machinery safely and efficiently. Strong analysis skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Effective communication skills in English; ability to work independently or as part of a team while adhering to deadlines and expectations. Certified inspector permit highly preferred.
