Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Semi Mechanic to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service to our customers by maintaining the reliability and efficiency of their vehicles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of automotive systems, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and mechanical knowledge to keep vehicles running smoothly. Responsibilities Conduct routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections to ensure vehicle longevity and safety. Diagnose and repair automotive engine systems, including diesel engines, utilizing automotive diagnostic tools and schematics. Perform complex repairs on powertrain components, engine repair, and automotive electrical systems with precision and attention to detail. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively. Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques safely during mechanical repairs and vehicle servicing. Align wheels and perform vehicle system inspections to maintain optimal handling and performance. Maintain detailed records of all repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance activities for each vehicle serviced. Experience Proven dealership experience or equivalent in automotive repair environments. Strong background in automotive diagnostics, including the use of advanced diagnostic tools for troubleshooting. Experience working with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology is highly desirable. Knowledge of automotive engine technology, electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and heavy vehicle maintenance is essential. Familiarity with Peterbilt, Kenworth, freightliner etc vehicles is required. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and alignment equipment. Prior experience in automotive repair focusing on diesel engines, vehicle systems, and mechanical repair is preferred.
