A well-established transportation company in Earth City, MO, is seeking a Heavy-Duty Trailer Mechanic to repair and maintain various trailer types such as freight trailers, goosenecks, bumper pulls, dump trailers, and moving trailers. Ideal candidates should have 2+ years of experience. for steady, full-time work!

SHIFT:

Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (steady day shift).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers and related components. Diagnose and repair electrical, structural, and mechanical issues across various trailer types. Replace or repair roll doors, swing doors, roofs, panels, lift gates, wheel seals, and flooring. Conduct welding and fabrication on trailer frames and metal components. Troubleshoot ABS brake systems, trailer wiring, and lighting circuits. Inspect suspension systems, adjust brakes, and align trailer axles.

Required:

2+ years of experience servicing a variety of trailers. Proficiency in welding, trailer bodywork, electrical repair, and ABS diagnostics. Experience with preventative maintenance and major trailer component replacements. Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA trailer inspection regulations. Strong attendance and ability to work independently or on a team.

Preferred:

Background in commercial fleet, logistics, or moving industry
