Job Description

Mobile Tractor-Trailer Mechanic
  • Kingdom City, New Florence, Columbia Missouri & Surrounding Area
  • Job Type:
    Full-time
  • Monday
  • Friday 9am-5pm and one weekend per month on call, one night per week on call
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9AM
  • 5PM, to include after-hour commission calls, and weekend commission calls as needed.
ONE WEEKEND PER MONTH ON CALL AND ONE NIGHT PER WEEK ON CALL REQUIRED. MORE ON CALL IS AVAILABLE.
Pay:
$42
  • 45 per hour (based on experience).
MONTHLY STIPEND OF UP TO
$450/MONTH

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mobile Tractor-Trailer Mechanic to perform mobile service calls. Must reside in the Kingdom City, New Florence, Columbia Missouri or surrounding area. You will have your own service van to drive back and forth to work, work out of, etc. Repair examples include but are not limited to: brake chambers, air-leaks, no-starts, coolant leaks, radiator replacement, wheel seals, brakes, tires, minor trailer door issues, batteries, airlines, etc. We DO NOT perform internal engine work, transmission work, etc. The ideal candidate will have diagnostic skills, the ability to work independently, and a solid background in tractor-trailer maintenance. You must have 3 years experience working on semi trucks & trailers to be considered for this job. Responsibilities Perform mobile repairs on tractor-trailers Diagnose and repair issues involving: Glad-hands Brake chambers Tires Air lines Coolant leaks Batteries Starters Additional mechanical components as needed Complete occasional repairs on pickup trucks and passenger vehicles Provide professional, timely service during road calls Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience working on semi-trucks and trailers Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage road service calls $42
